Kitchen island/ table

Has anybody had a combined kitchen island/ table? I saw someone do it on The Block once, although I'm struggling to find an image.

It had the island, table width, which then dropped down to a table at the end, all in a line and the same width, and a worktop all in one piece/ material- I think the one that I saw was a solid marble type material. The table part was definitely chair height, not bar stools, which is what most images seem to be.

Just trying to get ideas for the house we are moving in to, and that's quite a hard one to explain!

I looked round a house for sale last year that had this. A bit hard to see well in the pictures though www.rightmove.co.uk/sold-prices/photos/property-80582738.html?photoIndex=12

Sorry Blue, your link doesn't work.

Yes Solitude, something like that, although probably more like the first one than the second. I'm just struggling to find images that would fit with what I like to try and show DP what I mean, as none of the images look great, and I think it could be great if done right, if that makes sense?

I know the "look" you mean but I think a lot of people/designers go for a different material for the dining table section so that it zones the areas properly - to enable there to be a clearly defined food prep area and a clearly defined eating area. It makes it look a lot less like a bog standard breakfast bar. Like this:

That's weird, it still comes up as a link for me.
It has a kitchen island, and then the table bit at lower legal continuing from the end, to work with a long narrow kitchen. Bit hard to see on photos though. The 'table' is same width as island only lower height

I have seen something like this at a house once but it was a T shape with the island being the top bit. The island was in white quartz but the table was oak and had benches rather than chairs. It was beautiful and made really good use of the space.
