Loft flooring

Hello all!

After some advice.

In a new build. Loft well insulated but only partly floored, on plastic legs

Have heard would be best to do this "properly" with the weight spread mode evenly

Any thoughts? Experiences? Unsure what to do!

Didn’t the builder finish it? We have ply flooring but it depends what you want to do with it.

If you’re just storing things up there then get it boarded. If your going to go diy route then you can buy loft boards yourself.
Our builders did ours took them literally just a few hours, if that.

If you’re going to put a room up there then obviously...

Should have made that clearer!

@bubblesbuddy it's just rafters and insulation. No floor.

@cubed123 it's just for storage

Not sure whether plastic legs and DIY boards are enough or getting someone "proper" to do it!

We have ours fully floored. It’s not temporary and it can take weight. I would do it properly if you intend to stay. It also would depend how much you want to store.
