I wonder if anyone could help? We're thinking of having a roof light installed in a dark bathroom. There is already a window but it is very narrow and is in the corner so it doesn't give much light. There is a loft above the bathroom so we would need a light well. Do vertical ones look odd or would the well need to be tapered? I'm finding it difficult to visualise!
The room is 2.75 x 2m and the roof faces east. Not sure what size roof light would be best either. Googling suggests 10% of floor space as a rule of thumb but I suppose that is without a light well.
