New bathroom.. shower storage?

Putting in a new bathroom and now thinking of the practicalities of where things go!
I'd love a recessed shelf but I don't know if I can afford the space.
What are my other options? I'm a minimalist and tidy person, I don't want it to look cluttered. None of the showers in the catalogues have any shampoo bottles etc in the pics funny enough!
Would love to see anyone's photos or hear ideas!

Metal baskets on the wall of the shower are good. I think tiled niches get mucky.

We have these in our showers. Brand name Keuco. They come in a variety of shapes and colours.

They're good because the inserts come out for cleaning - see pic.

I have a shower caddy that hangs on the door of the shower. Cost me £3.99 from B&M

I only use it for a few items. I keep the bulk of the toiletries, spare soaps etc in an ikea shelf/basket unit which is at the side of the shower.

I'd post the link but the Ikea website is down.

I didn't want metal against the glass so went for plastic, which probably looks cheap and nasty, but it does the job

We’ve got a simple human one from John Lewis that fits into the corner of the shower. It’s got springs that keep it in place. Expensive but amazing

Thanks so much everyone, these are great ideas. Really appreciate your input, my imagination is rubbish. So helpful to see what others use!

I have a set of 3 simple human dispensers that go on the wall in both bathrooms, shampoo, conditioner & shower gel. Very sleek & tidy. Have a handwash one in the en suite too to prevent clutter

We have one of these from ikea which attaches neatly to the rail. Cheap but doesn't look cheap when fitted.

I put it above the shower head (we are all tall) so it doesn't get overly wet. It holds shampoo/conditioner/facewash and shower gel/body puff hangs from it.

Thanks everyone, I feel better about my options now!
