Selling house - anyone else in same boat?

Hello - only just put house on the market. 3 bed large detached near fast train 1/2 hr into London. Think this sort of thing would normally sell fast. Wondering if anyone else out there is trying to sell at the moment and how you feel the market is performing in the light of Brexit?
I am assuming there must be plenty of people, like me, who don’t have the choice to wait to move, but I have heard first time buyers are waiting until after there is more stability politically. Thoughts???

I'm in the same boat. Have to move as my life has changed massively (see my separate thread) and now need a 3/4 bed house. Put my 2 bed terrace up for sale 3 weeks ago & have had 5 viewings so far. All like the house but parking is a problem (main road & only have residents parking) In Kent & just 2 mins walk to train station - 40 mins into Victoria.

Brexit is a pita, but people will always want to move & there is still a supply problem. I work in finance & wish people would realise this. Also interest rates are going to stay low for some considerable time. Might not get a rate rise for another 18-24 months, and then only 0.25%. Brexit might even mean they fall.

Brexit is one of a mixed bag of issues affecting the housing market at the moment.

Depending on where you are in the country prices have been increasing for the vast majority of the last 20 years. It was always going to tail off eventually.

If your property is not attracting the interest you were expecting the chances are the price you are asking is too high and you need to adjust your expectations.
The simple truth is that if you make the price of your property attractive enough you will not have a problem finding a buyer.
