Has any one had any luck trying to fill or at least disguise a deep scratch in white PVC?

You can paint UPVc - so perhaps normal filler and then paint the whole frame?

you can buff it out. Taking the sharp edges off will make it less prominent. There are products for concealing scratches in plastic bumpers and trim on cars. If there is a local car "scratches and chips" repairer (your garage may know) they might come and do it. I believe they can also melt plastic to fill deep scratches.
