£20 a month with L&G, been with them a few years now and no complaints

ineedtogotobedanyway · 18/06/2019 20:40

£16 a month - direct line.

ThinThighsPlease · 18/06/2019 20:44

Thanks I've been quoted £108 if I pay for the full year but it's only a little terraced house with just me in it and no expensive electronics etc 😊

£17, but guessing I’m underinsured, renewal soon.

Orangesox · 18/06/2019 20:59

Around £200, that’s for Unlimited Buildings and £100k Contents cover, both with accidental damage on a 5 bed house within 200m of two rivers.

Orangesox · 18/06/2019 20:59

Should point out it’s £200 per year, not monthly! Wink

CatyaPurella · 18/06/2019 21:10

Blimey, I need to do some research...mine is £46 a month!

UserAlice · 18/06/2019 21:12

£31 a month but it’s a very comprehensive policy

Spanglybangles · 18/06/2019 21:14

Eek ours is a bit high compared to others here. We are around £250 for the year. Just completed on our first family home so said yes to everything offered, that’s with The AA. Might wise up next year though and go cheaper, we are probably over insured right now!!

Spanglybangles · 18/06/2019 21:18

Actually just checked the documents and it’s actually £304 for the year Blush

WBWIFE · 18/06/2019 22:18

£20 a month

Andonandonan · 18/06/2019 22:29

Ours is about £220 a year, 5 bed house, pretty comprehensive coverage.

Some of these sound incredibly cheap.

Floralnomad · 18/06/2019 22:33

Approx £170 per year , 4 bed detached with unlimited building and £100k all singing and dancing contents .

tomboytown · 18/06/2019 23:50

£86 a month!

ThinThighsPlease · 19/06/2019 06:09

@tomboytown is your house Alton Towers?! 😳

missbattenburg · 19/06/2019 06:19

About 250 per year but that includes some of the optimal extras such as boiler cover and cover for a couple of expensive watches away from home etc.

4 bed house with rebuild costs of 200k and contents of 100k. Something like that.

tomboytown · 19/06/2019 13:11

Well it’s a big house and there’s some individual items on there, but nothing major.
I moved from a 4bed to 7bed and at first I couldn’t even get insurance, and then this policy was bit less than the last one and the house is twice as big, so I thought it was a good price.
Bloody hell

ShakespearesSisters · 19/06/2019 14:06

£226, paid it yesterday. 4 bed house with legal assistance and home emergency cover.

Sgtmajormummy · 19/06/2019 14:35

€150 per year on each property. All different sizes.

They each have reasons for tweaking the liability. One has high earthquake cover (120yo and 5th floor), one has high 3rd party and contents (students!) and one has increased cover for atmospheric events (after a memorable hailstorm cost us a lot to replace some shutters).
Our main place costs the least because we have a deposit box at the bank and we live in a gated residential complex.

AtillatheHun · 19/06/2019 14:57

christ our renewal has just come in for £1700 up from £1300 last year. Large house (but standard brick / tile construction) and includes some expensive jewellery for in / out of the home

Linguaphile · 19/06/2019 15:20

Whoa loads of these are very cheap! Ours is about 50/month. Blush We have a really big house though and very comprehensive coverage for that.

MumOfTwoMasterOfNone · 19/06/2019 16:44

Around £120 a year I think? 3 bed semi, no claims.

MargaretHoulihan · 19/06/2019 16:46

Over £400 for a two bed flat.

Getitdonet · 19/06/2019 17:04

V interesting the prices here. I pay £309 pa. 3 bed semi cant remember the specifics off head but decent cover & I was careful to put in a rebuild figure not resale. Still I think the post that had a large hs & wasnt too far from a river got a cracking deal. I wounder what variables they put in to come up with premiums.
