... to paint the walls, ceiling and skirting of one average sized double bedroom?

I'll be supplying the paint.

Could it be done in one day?

Someone recommended to me by more than one person is popping in tomorrow to appraise the job.

Thanking you in advance

Two days so about £450 a room .

£150 is my decorators day rate. But doing just one room is not cost effective because of having to wait for filler and paint to dry. So more than one day if filling and multiple coats needed.

Yes two days at least if you want filling and more than one coat. £300 or £150/day. Will the room be clear of furniture? You don’t want to be paying them to move stuff.

We normally pay £180-250 in the North, depending on room size. Is there much prep work sanding down, covering dark colour etc or just painting over fairly decent plaster work already? I would say 1-1.5 days depending on the state of what's there already
