Has the bubble burst at DIY?

We are just gearing up to order our kitchen. I've researched and been looking in here for over a year. I've visited the DIY showroom. I was convinced that this was it.
But I noticed very disgruntled reviews on trust pilot and a sudden influx of reviews from people who have been contacted to leave a review 4 years after receiving their kitchen. Facebook is also closed to comments although a few have been left in the pages and they are none too positive in terms of customer service, delivery, incomplete orders etc.
Before I blow a large sum of money can anyone give me a positive in the very recent past ie. 2019. Please no need to sing praises if your kitchen is a few years old. I understand the quality was excellent... what I'm trying to ascertain is whether this is still the case. Thanks

I’ve just ordered a kitchen with them (it’s arriving in late August) so I can’t really add too much because I don’t physically have it yet, but I will say that I wasn’t overly impressed with the pre-order service.

I gave them my kitchen design plan and asked them to price it up for me and getting answers to questions was like pulling teeth.

I persevered with it because it was such good value for money.

I’m slightly worried now I’ve seen your post!

My MIL had one end of April/beginning of May and it is lovely, she's happy, all arrived on time and complete. Positive allround experience and cheaper that the two independents she tried too.
Cashmere Stanbury. With appliances etc.

Hi

We purchased a kitchen from DIY kitchens in feb and a few more bits in April. No issue with customer services or delivery. We had an issue with a larder unit and they sent out a kitchen fitter to repair and if not repairable replace the door. Also we're happy to send us some touch up paint/wax due to a few marks we had on the bases of the wall units.

Hope that's of help

Like anything, people are quick to leave negative reviews if something goes wrong but hardly any leave positive reviews when things are fine.

I wouldn't let the recent problems with DIY determine your opinion of their quality or them as a company.

They were only trying to improve their - revered- service but ran in to technical issues.

My kitchen was delivered 6 weeks ago with missing and damaged items and I'm still awaiting the replacements -- the subsequent 2 deliveries were also damaged.

I'd buy from them again without hesitation ... but it'd be wise to let the dust settle and customer services catch up with themselves before doing so.

Hhm...I see your point. But on trust pilot of I filled bad and poor record the majority are extremely recent. And there's lots of them.
It's quite worrying

I’m due my order from them in about 10 days’ time. Will let you know!

of course it’s probably all the eulogies on MN that have caused the problem Grin
