Is this a stupid thing to say?

We've recently had a house viewing and the estate agent apparently told the people who were viewing that the reason we wanted to move was because we didn't like having to drive backwards and forwards to the nearest town centre (9 minute drive).... We are quite far away from the larger town centre (about 40 minute drive) which is what sometimes puts some people off moving to our beautiful area. It seems really ridiculous to tell potential buyers that we are fed up of driving backwards and forwards (a short drive) to the closest town which is something new people would need to do. Incidentally this is definitely not the reason we are wanting to move!

well, I would be cross, because it highlights a possible downside to your house, and the EA works for you to sell it, not for the buyer. So i would feed that back to them.
