Swollen Door

We have a wooden back door. The door is new but the frame is old... Anyway, we have (stupidly) mananged to not seal it properly and it appears to have swollen a little with the weather...

Now I think we can sort this out, when the weather brightens up and the door drys out again. We can shave off the excess and seal it properly and well, pretend we never made any mistakes...

But the door isn't closing now...

Would anyone be able to advise a) how to do I get closed without damaging it, and b) how can I stop it getting any worse while we wait for the rain to finally subside...

Thanks all!

How swollen is swollen? If it's just a few mill' can you have a go at the edge with some of that super-coarse fabric backed sandpaper? (not ideal I know) but I'd give it a go. Failing that a quick plane if you know someone with one? I can't see any other way that doesn't involve cutting a bit off.
