We are planning to do some building work on our terraced house and will be knocking through our kitchen and dining room. The beam will be supported by pillars built out from the party wall so we won’t be cutting into the party wall. Our understanding is that this means we don’t need to serve a Party Wall Notice or get a Party Wall Agreement/Award but can anyone advise if this is definitely the case?
