Changing from sole agency to multiple agency

Put house on market last week with an agent and signed contract as sole agency. Been a bit disappointed with lack of viewings and interest. We are still in the 14-day cooling off period so could drop them with no fee..

Got a second agent to put the house up yesterday. They have done better pictures and marketing and already generated more viewings since yesterday than other agency have in a week.

We’ve contacted the first agency to explain we’d like the house up with two agents for maximum exposure and could we amend the contract to multiple agency instead but they are getting funny about it and trying to argue against that. We don’t wish to fully drop them because they have a couple of properties up with are VERY interested in buying.

I’m just a bit confused, we are in the cooling off period so could just leave them, surely staying with them but on multiple/dual agency is better than us just leaving them all-together?
