House with view from upstairs...

Do you get 'joy' from that .... prospective house has no views downstairs but lovely from the bedrooms. But how often do you stand at your bedroom window looking at the view?

Depending on the layout, could you swap one of the bedrooms for a reception room.
Friends of ours have their main reception room at the front on the first floor to see the see . Bedroom on ground floor doesn't mind that it looks out on the other side of the road (no houses on other side of road but no view either)

I've got a nice view from my bedroom. As it's East facing, I like watching the sunrise in winter (a bit too early to get up in summer).

We have a beautiful sea view from our bedroom window. I get a lot of joy from it....but then I work from home and often work in the bedroom to take advantage of the view!

We had this with our last house. Kitchen downstairs, opening out onto a patio with no view...but lots of privacy!! Lounge and master bedroom upstairs with sea view. We loved it and were in that house nearly 30 years.
