Blinds making awful noise

We have a blind in what was the spare bedroom. It has a chain type mechanism for raising and lowering. I think it’s always been noisy but because it was the spare room, we weren’t really bothered by it.
Now though, DD has moved into that room and so the blind is being raised and lowered every day and the noise is a pain.
Any idea how I can fix it please?
Photos attached in case it helps.

Try silicone furniture polish sprayed liberally onto a cloth then run the chain all the way down and all the way up with the cloth held round it. It might need a few goes and an extra pair of hands but some of the polish should transfer onto the wheel at the top. Doing it this way means you don't risk staining the blind fabric or the wall with polish.

Thank you
I’ll give that a go

Do you have a retainer clip on the wall?

Silicone hair serum also works.

My god I have these too in my 5 sided bay and two in my front lounge. I had no idea they'd be sooooo noisy and feel sorry for my neighbours!!! I would've just had the usual cotton pull up cords if I'd have known! No idea what to do about the noise though 🤔
