Does anyone have a Burlington Hampton freestanding bath?

Longshot, I know, but I'm having doubts and thought it was worth asking before the one we've bought is fitted this week!

Bath (Burlington Hampton) was delivered this morning. First thing that struck me (as I helped the delivery driver carry it inside) was that it's BLOODY HEAVY. Second thing was that it seems really deep. I managed to wait until he'd gone before getting in and giving it a test run, and blimey, it feels like a coffin. Lying down in it, the sides come way up almost to eye level and it's quite uncomfortable to get out of.

Is this just because it's different to our old bath and something I'll get used to? Or does anyone else have one of these (or any other deep bath) and find it annoying? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

We've go one of those but then I wanted a big, deep bath. And the heaviness is a good thing - it's made of thick material that hold the temperature of the water really well.

Takes ages to fill up, though.

Thanks for your response JoJo

Do you find it comfortable to lie in? And easy to get out of? (I'm 5'3" and heading for 50 so am wondering if it's a bath for lithe young willowy people!!)

I'm just shy of 6ft so perhaps that's why the bath appeals :)

And easy to get out of but I'm reasonably fit with no health problems.
