My DH has a job move to Exeter area. We currently live 20 mins from Oxford. Ds in middle of GCSEs and has heart set on local college here. Looking at Bicton College as an option if we move. Can anyone tell me their thoughts on it?
What's the area like. Recommendations for good areas to live? Any suggestion to help make the move palatable for DS welcome.....feeling overwhelmed and stressed!!! Smile

Exeter college is a good college and would be so much easier for him to get to. He would be in the middle of town everyday too so if he wanted to go out with friends straight from college he could.
The obvious good area is st Leonard's - houses will be pricey here but it's within walking distance to town and the quay and is the most sought after location.

Forgot to say, Exeter is really lovely. I live in mid devon now but still see Exeter as my home. The traffic is horrendous though, be warned about that. Exe bridges is the biggest nightmare so you might want to avoid Alphington (although you can get on the a30 easily from here) Exwick and s
St Thomas.

I live a very short drive from Exeter, don't want to make myself too identifiable by saying where but if you are interested in living in a surrounding town (close enough to use all the facilities of exeter) feel free to PM me with any questions!
