Has anyone got/ever had acoustic fence panels between yourselves and neighbours?

We've got them and I could tell the difference when they were installed. However, don't expect miracles as it's just a bit of a difference.

We have a small pub with outdoor courtyard as our rear neighbour.

As part of their DA, they had to install noise abatement fencing. It's concrete panels (Hebel, from the look of it) with some kind of cladding on their side to 1.8m high, then another metre of thick Perspex above that. It doesn't really do much though. Without a roof, the chatter and drunken laughter just rises up and over the fence.
