We have 1930s original 55mm oak flooring which runs from the hallway into our large kitchen/diner and it's beautiful. We are now doing an extension and are really keen to extend the wood flooring to match.

Nowhere from London - Devon - Newcastle makes 55mm boards anymore, the narrowest 125mm. We'd be happy with any colour really because ultimately we can stain the whole area to be the same colour but does anyone have any idea how to source narrow boards?

A reclamation yard isn't an option. We need a vast acreage and secondly, they charge astronomical amounts.

The pictures attached show darker - hallway, lighter - kitchen, much more natural light here so appears lighter.

Couldn't a carpenter make them?

That's certainly an idea! A costly one I imagine but thank you.
