Pipe running across shower drain?

We have got a new shower enclosure fitted, trying it out for first time (fully dressed! Just putting shower on to check) and then looked under the shower waste cap - there is no basket - there is a pipe running across it. Is this right? It seems to be an integral part of it because of the screws going down from the circle around the edge of the waste into the pipe, but how do you clean out blocked hair?!

Is it a mira? The free drain that comes with their trays is like that. The pipe that you can see is actually where the trap curls around to exit. A bit like a u bend on the basin.
The first thing i did was throw it away and get a mcalpine one which are much better quality.

It is a Mira yes! But it’s all plumbed and concreted in.

My main thing is how does it trap hair? How do I clean it?

Not sure, i can see if we still have our later when I'm at home!

Thanks so much. At least it is supposed to look like that. It may be that I just have to regularly chuck drain unblocker down there.

I've had a look at the one we have left over and it's basically one big piece of plastic, the water channel goes around underneath the outlet and back over and drops into it. Basically like a snail shell. It doesn't look like it would block up easily unless you put a lot of long hair in. See the first photo.
The one we fitted in the end you can see the picture second. As you can see it splits into several pieces for cleaning.
