Good location for Bank/Canary Wharf commute with good secondary schools

Currently live in north west London but want to move for more space and better secondary schools. Open to independent schools too but not very selective ones. Everywhere I look I see pros and cons and finding it hard to narrow down. Not that keen on moving too far east as have family near Bristol. Grateful for ideas, thank you!

Are you looking to be more in zone 2, 6 or the commuter belt? What’s the budget and what size property would you like?

Milton Keynes and Bedford has access to good grammar and private schools. Both are approx 60mins to Canary Wharf by public transport.

Bristol takes 2 hours from MK. Probably 2.45 from Bedford

SW Herts. Excellent state schools and fast trains into Euston so close to Bank. Less great for CW but not awful.

What are you looking for and what’s your budget? Crossrail will obviously make things easier if it ever arrives Hmm

Is Blackheath too far? How much green do you need and how long a commute?

Drop your budget, commute location, and importance of schools this tool [[www.searchsmartly.co/onboarding]] and viola, you'll get some good options on areas and properties within those areas that best fit what you're looking for!

househunter19, an interesting tool. Unfortunately, I input our info and didn't get a single property that we'd consider :))) It seems to only work if you want to live in zones 1-3 or so.
