Hello, just that really. It will press down but nothing happens, as though it's not connected to anything. Happened suddenly last night. Can anyone advise?

YouTube have videos showing how to take them off. Mines connected to two dowls that screw in, if they get too tight they drop down and you can’t flush it.

So I have to loosen it off again. It only happened when the tiler took the loo out.

You might find the chrome ring round the button unscrews so you can lift the lid off and see what's wrong. Rubber gloves will help you grip it.

Ah Thank you both, I knew I'd get help here, will have a Google and try to sort it. Thanks again.

Mine does this every so often.
A jiggle of the button often does the job.

Have button jiggled repeatedly, but to no avail Confused

Hi mine was doing this recently- not long moved in so thought "here we go...." took the lid of the custern up and had a look at the mechanism and there was a cotton bud stuck in there causing an issue! Infact there was a whole host of cotton buds in there...(just WHY) Thought id got them all out and then it happened again last week...a rogue cotton bud blocking the mechanism!!

It won't be anything stuck, I wouldn't have thought. The loo is only around 2 years old and is in an ensuite shower room which literally only gets used for showering and using the loo during the night. I've got a plumber coming to look at it today but Thank you for all your suggestions.
