Hi everyone,
After some advice pls . Currently reside in Warrington but looking to buy a house now. Unfortunately house prices are so expensive so can't afford. Recently become single parent with a 3yr old who starts school next yr. I've been looking at sutton heath in st helens or Widnes. Have t heard great reviews from people about safety and academic standards of the primary school but I know that could be subjective . I should also mention we are British of African descent so integration and feeling like part of a community is extremely important especially for the LO. Any advice really helpful. Thanks in advance

barnton near northwich is close, rural and diverse. A small town with an amazing small school - little leigh which has 18 kids per class and is diverse.

What's your budget? I'm sure there's somewhere that would work for you!

I lived in Widnes for a while - the area on the outskirts right near St Helens is nice. Look at Lunt’s Heath area. Anything near Cronton is nice too, but it’s more expensive there.

Check out Farnworth area of Widnes - lovely area with great schools and house prices aren’t too bad. Widnes is up and coming. Since we moved here 13 years ago the town centre has been redone, new Tesco’s, Aldi and the Hive with pictures, bowling etc plus Victoria Park is fantastic for the kids !
