Vintage teasmade alarm

Hi all! I’ve got a goblin teasmade from 1983 which I would love to make me a cup of tea without the alarm going off! Does anyone know if this is possible and if so how?! I can’t work it out! Thanks for any tips!

My parents had one like this years ago.

They could stop the alarm by removing the white plastic bit at the front (the light) - it should just lift off. Underneath that part there was a switch which gave them the option of alarm only, no alarm and alarm plus tea.
