Do you just allow people to view your house who are in a position to offer? (ie they've had an offer on their property)...

We allowed people who were in the process of putting their house on the market to view ours, they could have got an offer on theirs the very next day.

We actually viewed the house we eventually bought the week ours went on the market (we were honest about not having sold yet and they let us view), and some other sellers wouldn't let us have a viewing. 4 months later when we sold it was still available and we viewed again and offered the same day.

No, we have never done that. And wouldn't. People can become proceedable very quickly. And vice versa as offers can fall through.
