Somewhere affordable in South Manchester but nice area.... Too much to ask?

Hi,

Looking for some advice on areas if you guys can help me please. My partner and I plus bump & 2 year old are wanting to move to South Manchester but I only have a budget of max £260k and we need a 3 bed. I'm priced out of the obvious places people suggest like Didsbury, Chorlton, Altrincham etc. but I was hoping you could suggest some areas that are more affordable and nice for a growing family? We're not from Manchester so don't have that valuable knowledge.

This isn't our forever home but our 'next 5 years' type home!
