Wall between properties

Hi

I have a garden wall separating my property from another development. I want to extend my property up to (or replacing) this wall. The land registry does not have a t mark in it. Does anyone know who you'd contact to determine ownership of the wall. A solicitor? Or chartered surveyor? In England if that makes a difference?

What does the title register document state about boundaries? Not the plan, the written description which states ownership? What about the title register and title plan for the next door property?

If there is nothing about the wall then look at the boundary line and any features on the plans to work out if the wall is along the boundary or within it on one side. You'll probably need to speak to the other owner at some point.

There are specialist boundary surveyors.

Better to see if the matter can be easily resolved without though.
