Moving large appliance

Help!

We need to move all the large appliances out to storage.

Never done this before, do we have to wrap carefully of things like fridge and washing machine before letting someone move them?

I guess I need to tie up the fridge doors and take off all the shelves at least. But do I need to bubble wrap it entirely?

When we are hoiking white goods around it's quite helpful to be able to get a hand inside sometimes. I would just leave it, but of course your movers may say differently. Do you need to disconnect anything - washing machine, dishwasher? Your WM may have a bolt that you fit for moving, so the drum doesn't spin in transit. Your mover may be expecting to do this stuff for you.

Also don't store fridges closed, they tend to need air to circulate or they go mouldy. Putting one of the shelves in sideways will prop the door open.
