Have just had some hung and he charged £70 a door

I suppose it depends where you are in the country. £70 sounds high to me.

Allycat · 10/05/2019 13:12

Yes it probably depends on location. I'm in South East London/Kent, so everything costs a fortune!

roses2 · 10/05/2019 13:13

It also depends on how much time he needs, the cost needs to be worth his time as well if it is a small job.

I have a friendly neighbourhood joiner who does work on the side at weekends and evenings.
He hung me a new door a few months back and adjusted the rest of the doors in the house. He charged me £30.

Blankiefan · 10/05/2019 20:08

I paid £40 per door. In Scotland.

Hiphopopotamous · 10/05/2019 20:18

I paid £45-50 per door, they were heavy oak ones plus handles/locks

Jenb2104 · 10/05/2019 20:21

Our local joiner charged £20 per door. They were tricky to hang as well as we live in an old house with wonky door frames. Seems as though we got a good deal!

£45 per door. East Mids.
