Shower mixers / tap mixers from Europe

Does anyone know if the shower mixers or tap mixers sourced from Europe can work in England or not?

Saw Grohe sales online, but hesitate as not sure if compatible in the UK.

Yes you may need to adapt 15mm feeds to the smaller tails. Not difficult just be aware. Also works in Scotland when we did the same :)

European ones will be designed for high-pressure water, and have small internal waterways.

Have you got a hot-water cylinder? What colour? have you got a water tank in the loft?

If you put your thumb over the spout of the bathroom taps (hot and cold) can you stop the flow?

As John has said, the rest of teh world tends to work on higher hot water pressures than the UK.

Most reputable makes of taps (Grohe etc) will work fine here but BEFORE you purchase look for the minimum operating pressure of the tap and check spares are available here.

If you have tanks in the loft, you need taps that work at 0.1Bar otherwise the flow from them will be poor or literally non existant. If you have a combi boiler or a high pressure hot water system such as an unvented cylinder then you can go for those rated at 0.5Bar minimum.

Showers are rated similarly BTW.
