Breathable paint for lime plaster

We have had our kitchen plastered in lime and have been told to paint it in breathable paint.

What paint is breathable that I should be buying?

I’ve been told that the breathable paints by Dulux aren’t actually breathable.

Also - does lime still need a mist coat like gypsum?

We used clay based paint. The brand we used was Earthborn paints

Another recommendation for the Earthborn clay paint range. We replaced all the badly applied, dusty limewash in our house with---- Earthborn claypaint about 7 years ago and it has performed very well.

DP is a lime plasterer and uses Graphenstone paint, it's not cheap but is apparently the best.
