Bosch dishwasher- salt

Hi possibly not the best place to post but we have a Bosch dishwasher and the salt indicator has come on usually no bother today we cannot get the damn thing off - any hints to help??? Thank you Grin

Tea towel? Mine can be a bastard to get off especially if there is salt on the rim.

Or you could try it immediately after the cycle has finished but before it cools down

rubber gloves for a better grip.

Insist that the tw@ who overtightened it last time takes on the job of opening it.

Meanwhile look up boa wrench or strap wrench

You'll need quite a big one.

We had the same problem, as a last resort DH put a cloth over the salt cover for protection then gave one sharp tap with a hammer.Voila!

We solved it!!! Not quite a wrench needed but an old fashioned thingy my Nan gave me to open jars!!! Thanks to everyone for their ideas!
