grey or navy leather sofas

Thinking of going for dark grey or navy leather sofa but can’t decide if this will date or we will regret not going for a traditional black or brown.
Colours like the photo

Neither. They’re both ugly. They look as though they should be in a corporate reception area.

Thanks, I appreciate your honesty. They do have a corporate feel to them. I think leather sofas are traditionally black and brown for a reason. I may still with tradition

It’s the shape and being able to see underneath them that makes them corporate. I don’t like them either.

Black or brown make a big sofa look even bigger.
I think your grey or blue ones are much nicer

As for colour, I'm looking navy as an alternative to grey. A good quality sofa on a deep brown is classic. I hate black leather sofas. No good reason, just pr e ference!

Thanks all for the comments. I think what I liked about the sofa was it’s a recliner without looking like one. But the commmets here are really helpful. The problem with sofas is they’re a large purchase so need to stand the test of time both practically and also visually. I don’t want to buy some and then hate them in 6 months time.

I prefer the navy to grey though we have burgundy. I love the colour of ours but quite hard to match. I don't mind them not going to ground ours do and they accumulate rubbish from the kids sneaking things under there and they couldn't do that with those. Those ones don't look as comfortable as ones we have but look stylish.
