I've just ordered half a ton of cotswold cold 20mm gravel for our new patio area. We have already lined the area with a weed-control membrane and a layer of gravel stabiliser.
I'm aware that when the gravel arrives it is likely to be dusty. I've read on aggregate-sales websites that, once layed, you can either hose the gravel down or just wait for it to rain to wash the dust away.
However, if that's the case,where does the dust go? Presumably it can't go through the weed-proof membrane, so just settles on its surface below the gravel, yes? And, if so, is there a risk that the membrane will clog?
Anyone got experience of laying this type of gravel? Hopefully you can reassure me.
