Dark Navy Bathroom. Would it be mad?

Dark navy floor and walls. Possibly dark navy vanity unit (else white). White sanitary ware and normal coloured taps and ceiling.

Small suburban windowless bathroom.

I'm really feeling it - like that it would be soothing and calming and cocooning.

Would I regret it?

Other option is pure white - but I'm concerned that would glare the eyes.

Would definitely square off the alcove. Could you c conceal the cistern inside the boxing in for alcove; is it deep enough? Likewise semi recess the sink so a bit protrudes, and the vanity storage could be built in underneath. Both basin and concealed cistern would give you a bit more floor space.

I could conceal the cistern - but I'm a bit reluctant, since a leak on the last concealed cistern trashed the old bathroom (and it was a complete bugger to access and ended up with basically a hole ripped out of the wall to get at it.

I know you can make hatches - but even so... you can't see what's going on day to day and it must make maintenance harder...?

You could just have a hinged flap on the top...? And maybe a section which unscrews. I have used tongue and groove a lot in bathrooms. Halfway up the wall. I’m not sure if it will be too busy. But you can paint it ans tile the shower area around the bath with large white tiles, so there are not too many grout lines.
I have done bathrooms with no external light and have gone for stone colours, paint and tiles. Warm, not too dark but still cocooning. Doesn’t date.
