Don’t need to worry about schools but my job will be in Stockport
Would like to live somewhere where you can walk to shops, cafes
I’ve had a quick look but you don’t seem to get a lot for your money in heaton moor

Heaton moor is nicest (with house prices accordingly!) followed by mersey, house prices accordingly! Heaton chapel, depends where you are (assume easy access to the train station would be important for you) - there are some lovely properties...most of the properties get advertised on the basis of how close they are to Heaton moor anyway! Heaton Norris definitely last. In terms of how much you have, I'd probably go for Heaton Mersey or Chapel as your money will go further - always just have a look at the map bit though as if you want the sociable bits most then it's best to be nearest Heaton moor. I'd probably try and stay the left hand side of Wellington road north (or Manchester road).

As you can see by prices Moor is the nicest. Around the Elizabethan pub is nice and the park (think it's call elms road park) it's 35 years since I lived there. I went to the local secondary which was horrific at the time but I believe very desirable now.
