Opinions on the size of this bath

I'm looking at new baths and whilst I would love a fully freestanding one they won't fit in the space available. I've come across this bath and like how it looks and it should fit. https://www.plumbworld.co.uk/affine-fontaine-corner-751-30754?utmsource=GoogleBase&utmmmedium=GB&utmcampaign=GoogleBase&gclid=Cj0KCQjwh6XmBRDRARIsAKNInDEAbbFjBIYYVn4MFtpUzqcJNoZYjmLUPREa5PVuzG9BgvCwPtlCtQaAv0REALww_wcB

My concern though is that it's 1250mm long and a standard bath is 1700mm so would you be able to lie in it or would you have to always sit in if? This isn't available anywhere local to me to have a look, so I've only got the online pictures to go on.

I'd welcome your opinions.

This is an alternative to a corner bath. You would only be able to sit not lie. I personally think a corner bath might make more effective use of space in a small bathroom because it hugs the wall?

@Teddybear45 I definitely don't want to have to sit up for every bath I have, so maybe I'll have to rethink.

The bath length is 1500 so I shouldn’t see a problem

It's 1500mm at the top, which sounds long enough to lie down, but unless your knees bend the opposite way you'll not be able to relax and soak because your feet will need to stick out of the top. Looks 10/10, practicality 2/10.

Do you have dcs? If so it may be too deep for them. Also I've read that getting out is a bit of a challenge even for the fittest! And... there's no ledge on which to put your stuff.

I had a space (length) issue and retained the corner bath. It's fine (1200mm) although I'm not very tall! And brilliant for the dcs when they were smaller.

People say corner baths are naff but mark my words they will make a triumphant comeback!

@Sirrah I think I agree with you that it's style over substance. I think I'm going to look at a more conventional shaped bath.

Have you seen this website? Might give you some layout options for your small bathroom.
