Typo on payslips - mortgage application

Has anyone experienced problems with a mortgage application due to having a typo on the payslips? My initial is wrong and I can't believe I haven't noticed that before. Asked payroll to amend this, but they may not be able to change the previous payslips Angry it took me ages to find a new house, so I don't want to lose it because of someone else's incompetence. I've read online that this could potentially be a problem for the lender.

Get work to write you a letter confirming it's their error.

Yes get a letter confirming the error but hopefully the NI number is on there so that should help you?

Does the payslip have your NI number on it?

I use my maiden name at work and married name at home. Work provided me with a letter confirming I was the same person which the bank were happy with.

If there's a mistake on your payslip does that mean there's a mistake on all your payroll data? If so I'd be checking into that with HMRC in case there are other problems

Thank you! Smile Yes, apparently they could give me a letter, so that's a bit of a relief. My NI number is thankfully correct.
