help with awkward living room please

what do I do with sofas? and where does the tv go? (can't go on chinmey breast as too high up)
atm have 2 armchairs that could go in different rooms.
3 seater
corner unit
or 2x 2 seater?

room is 4x5 meters, red are doorways

bottom right doorway is entry from porch, top right through to kitchen.
top through to conservatory.

That room has too many doors, it is a corridor!. Can you get the porch to open into the hallway? Then you could have either an L shape or 2 x 2 seaters at right angles.

As it is I think I'd have two sofas facing each other across the fireplace and the TV on the right hand wall. The sofa at the top of the diagram brought forward from the patio door.

Do you have a hallway? or is it front door into porch into living room, and that the only access to kitchen is from living room?

the porch is basically the hallway, stairs and access to other rooms go from there.

it's a nice big room, just not sure how to fit a sofa in there.

and yes, only access to kitchen is through the living room.

Which way is 4m and which is 5m?

5m is the side with the chimney

it didn't look as bad when we viewed. previous owners had a long wooden bench and a huge monstera plant in there.

Can the hallway or kitchen doorway be sealed off? Seems silly to have two entrances into the room so close together.
Blocking off the hallway door would give space for coat hooks in the hall and a nice corner for a sofa.

I would do "L" shaped sofa with short part facing left hand side of chimney and longer back of sofa facing the porch and kitchen doors. I would put the TV in the corner to right of chimney on corner TV unit. You would need a large plant or such behind it so it doesn't 'stick out' and feel awkward.

Can you block up a door way!!?

blocking a door is not an option.
(there is a courtyard between porch and kitchen)

How about this (sorry for shit drawing) armchair by conservatory doors, bookcase to the right of those doors. Tv between porch and kitchen door on the wall or on slim ladder unit and sofa in corner - this does block off the bay but I’m not sure how deep it is?

To be honest I’d get the chimney removed and swing the room the other way along these lines

You can always get a fireplace installed In The top right corner- a stand alone wood burner or something
