Storage Cupboard ideas - Including Hanging Coats

Hello,

I've joined Mumsnet specifically for the DIY/Property/Housekeeping wisdom and I'm looking for some help with how to maximise what can be stored in a cupboard.

We've got a cupboard (partially under the stairs) which opens up in the living room. Because it's under the stairs, the ceiling slopes up. We've got to keep the following items in there (because there's no where else for them to go):

  • Hoover
  • (large) ironing board
  • steam generating iron (large)
  • DH Violin
  • Food processor (mainly because we don't want it out in the kitchen)
  • Heated Clothes Airer

I'd like to have a hanging rail or hooks to hang coats up too rather than hanging up in the hallway or dumped over the bannister railings. However DH doesn't quite believe it can be done.

Any ideas would be most welcome :)

I didn't realise I wasn't allowed to post photos so please find a photo of my cupboard here - imgur.com/a/o6do3TN

This for the ironing board. You can get ones which hook over the top of the door if you don't want to damage the door by putting screws in it.

The Algot range by Ikea.

You haven't given any measurements but the rails, shelves, etc come in various widths and heights which let you customise it to suit yourself. You would end up with a smaller, narrower version of this. Shelves for iron, food processor and violin. Hanging rail for coats.

Airer would be folded up when not in use and placed at the side of the cupboard, vacuum cleaner at the front. It could be tight but it is doable.
