What is this on the front of my house?

I need a new one.

My dp says it's ducting, either to cover cables or an overflow of some sort.

Looks like conduit or a shield for the telephone wires into the house - the T is the old British Telecom symbol. Is the telephone master socket on the inside there?

It’s got a T on it so I’m assuming it’s the phone cable.

Will google ducting, thanks.

The telephone master socket was about 8ft to the left of the photo. Openreach came out and redirected it to a different socket.
