Is limescale a problem with the cold water/ice dispenser?

We're considering getting one but worry about it quickly clogging up with limescale - or can this be removed easily?

It's not a problem IME. Limescale is much worse in hot water systems anyway because chemistry.

Mist of them use a filter to remove the line scale.

Try again with correct spelling. Most of them use a filter to remove the limescale.

Thank you.
That's reassuring.

if it's fed with cold water with a small flexible plastic pipe (about the size of a pencil) you can get a replaceable water filter cartridge. There might already be one, and you'll need to replace it at intervals of some months.

I have them on the chilled water dispenser in my commercial premises, I get a box of a dozen or so, you can get a universal connector that fits multiple brands.

Can't remember the name of the supplier, but the product is like

cheaper in quantity

See if there is already one under the sink or behind the fridge.

We're still only at the planning stage Piglet. Trying to design a kitchen and work out appliances.
We quite fancy an American F/F but if we did get one it would probably not be a plumbed in one.
But still useful info, thank you
