What sort of commission rates should/do EAs charge?

As per the subject line

We recently had 2 valuations.

One company were flat fee £800, home report, £650 and additional £200 for agent to do the viewings.

2nd company were, £349 listing fee, £350 home report fee and commission 0.85% of sale price.

We're in Scotland so the seller pays for the home report which is available for all potential buyers nosey neighbours to download.

We had quotes for 1%, plus vat and 1.5% plus vat

We negotiated the 1%down to 0.9% plus vat

1% plus VAT. Home Counties. Loads of agents so fairly competitive rates.
