If you have any pics, please show!

I have mustard velvet chairs and gold wall lights/chandelier so I think it would go...am just unsure if I want to go this dark??

Pic of room attached (I hope, I seem to encounter problems adding pics from my phone)...am stripping the floor paint so it will be back to original flagstones

Who has used f&b Inchyra Blue??

Following with interest as I had thought about using this colour. There are hundreds of example photos on both Pinterest and on the F&B website, but the only real way to tell if it will work in your space is to buy a tester. It is quite dark - too much for me I decided. Similar but lighter alternatives are De Nimes and Oval Room Blue. I settled for the latter (a tester came out nothing like the header photo on the F&B page about it!)

I painted my whole living room with it, skirting and door included, although drop cloth on the ceiling and windows. Then we've got mustard cushions and copper accessories. Looks amazing! We only use our living room in the evening though so the fact that's it's dark is not a problem. You might not want to go that dark if you use the room in the daytime.

On our (north facing) room it actually looks far more green than blue.

Would post some pics but we're doing building work elsewhere at the moment and the living room is a shit tip!

I used a Dulux copy of inchyra blue for exterior woodwork. It is a beautiful colour, but I agree reads more green than blue.

I think it would look great in your room with the mustard chairs.

SurfnTerfFantasticmissfoxy · 15/04/2019 12:25

What a stunning room! It'll look fantastic in Inchyra - I used it in the kitchen of my old flat but don't have any pics I'm afraid

DeRigueurMortis · 15/04/2019 13:05

I don't have it (old cottage low beams and it would be too dark) but a friend with a similar room to you does and it looks stunning.

Given the other colours you are using I'd definitely consider it.

Yes it's bold, but wonderful imho.

I have a sample painted on my wall - and the F&B consultant is coming in the morning for a final decision - I also think it is quite green/grey and quite flat......will post a photo when done.

UCOinanOCG · 15/04/2019 17:42

Is it the dining room? If so I think it would be stunning.

Kitsmummy · 15/04/2019 18:45

Yes it's the dining room and thanks for all your replies! I have bitten the bullet and will post a finished pic photo in a week or so!

Had the F&B consultant in this morning - well worth it for me. Inch was too blue - but going for pitch black on v wide chimney breast and strong white on ceilings / walls / woodwork (v modern, minimalist house).

Then having either pidgeon or green smoke in hall way (again on ceilings). Green smoke not too dissimilar to inch.

Excited !

SunnyUpNorth · 16/04/2019 15:43

Ooh I love inchyra blue. Agree it is a more bottle green/grey colour though. I couldn’t decide between that and Hague blue for our study but went for HB in the end. My friend has inchyra in her dark dining room and it looks amazing.

another20 · 17/04/2019 11:39

First coat of “strong white” is up - ceilings and all woodwork - same as walls - looks stunning - delighted.....tho I did get it colour matched.

another20 · 17/04/2019 11:50

Can’t wait for the “Pitch Black” to go up. Sorry didn’t mean to hijack thread - but after months of samples it has been great to make a decision - the F&B colour consultant was v helpful - think I have saved her fee by colour matching the paints elsewhere...

Kitsmummy · 08/05/2019 12:38

Hopefully you can see these pics??

Finally finished it and am over the moon. It's a dulux copy of Inchyra Blue. It wasn't an exact match...it was more in the bluer end but I love it!

What is this app you speak of @Kitsmummy?

Kitsmummy · 08/05/2019 12:54

Just the Mumsnet app...I can't post pics if I've gone in via the app. If I just log on to the website (eg not the app) then it lets me post pics
