Is it common to feel like you don't want to give up your home?

I am looking to move to a cheaper area to have a garden and own outright (currently shared ownership). If I am honest the move is more because I think it's better for DS than for myself. I have a buyer and solicitor s have just been instructed, haven't found my home to buy yet. At times I feel really panicky and like it's a nightmare as my sale goes forward. I am arranging counseling but I also wondered can it feel normal to feel like you don't want to sell your home? Before I had this flat I was in a series of shared houses basically moved every year for fifteen years so it seems mad to move voluntarily.
