Moving to Bath area

Hello, wondered if anyone could give me any advice please? Looking to move to an area of Bath that is close enough to walk our dog out into some countryside. Alternatively, a village close by that is either on the train line or has a regular bus service. Many thanks 😁

I'd recommend my village but the transport links are rubbish! I love it anyway.

Weston/Lansdown areas are close to countryside. Somewhere like Box is more villagey but still on a bus route.

Look at the 'bath' villages - bathampton, batheaston... also Bradford-on-Avon is very popular (and pricey) but train&bus links and lovely countryside, canal, river etc...further south is pretty but transport gets less reliable, North is box, Marshfield, lansdowne, bus links there. Further out is Corsham or Keynsham...Do you need schools? I would be tempted to pick these and use this to help guide which side of the city, driving can be slow...

I live in Marshfield and there are 1-2 buses a day to Bath each way. But a beautiful village, we've just bought a house here.

Budget? That’ll affect where you can look.

Need schools?

Train line into Bath, or London?
