I’m at my wits end with my 1900s mid-Terrace. They seem like 4 big houses split into two so the soundproofing inbetween every other house now is basically just a brick wall. To make things worse I’m connected with my ‘other half’ by the stairs. This means I can hear their arms scraping against the walls and bannisters as they shuffle up/down the stairs, as well as the stairs creaking. I can even hear their TV and conversations in the living room clearly from the floor above. I presume they must be able to hear the same things from me. I’ve looked at the foam blocks but not sure what’s the best thing? Was thinking of fully lining the adjoining walls on all floors
