Hither Green Traffic

My partner and I are looking at flats in Hither Green in SE London. Does anyone know what the traffic is like in the area? Is there much traffic in the streets leading off Hither Green Lane? It seems to be the main artery on that side of the train tracks, leading down to the South Circular and I imagine the side streets feeding into it. Also, Hither Green Lane itself, does that get congested? I work from home but my job requires me to be out and about at various times in the day, usually by car.

Hi like most of south east London, traffic is usually very heavy the south circular is pretty much permanently jammed, maybe have a drive around during various parts of the day & see if it will really impact on day to day activities.

Thanks Have had a drive around there on a Saturday and a Sunday. Haven't been able to make it during the week yet.

Hi OP, I live on hither green lane. The traffic is pretty bad to be honest especially on the south circular.

South Circular pretty chokka all the time but if you travel outside of the rush hour or not every day, then it's bearable. Hither Green is a nice area and transport links are good.
