Drive and patio

I've had someone round to give me a quote to redo our drive and create a new patio. I want to make the drive bigger so we can fit two cars outside the house more easily. The existing patio needs raising to the height of the doors and extending. I've also asked for the paths either side of the house to be paved.
The total area is 56m squared. I've chosen mid range paving, nothing fancy.

The quote has come in at £17,000. Am I completely out of touch or is this about right? I was horrified, I knew it wouldn't be cheap but I think that's ridiculous!

I shall be getting other quotes.

Raising the patio is quite a bit of work - need extra materials and labour to do it.

I would get more quotes. Also what about different paving for the patio vs driveway? Driveway needs to be stronger but patio can be different.

I've recently had my driveway redone to fit two cars, I also had my front steps redone in sandstone. Whole job just short of 4000

I was expecting it to be about £6-7k.
Sent an email to another company today, so hopefully I can get another quote for comparison.
