repainting rooms before selling?

just done our room. ds room has posters on it with blue tack, plus old removed transfer marks on a pale blue walls. repaint or leave? does it really help to sell?

I would paint it. Transfer marks etc will just make the property look unloved and uncared for. A tin of paint and a couple of hours will make it look clean and fresh.

You'll need a stain stop paint for the Blutack marks or they'll just show through the topcoat paint. It's worth doing because a lot of potential buyers have no vision and start mentally discounting the price with every job they perceive they'll have to do around the place.
